Bill Hansson received the Great Medal of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences

The Great Medal for Distinguished Service from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) has been awarded to Bill Hansson, Director of the Department of Evolutionary Neuroethology. The Great Medal recognizes Bill Hansson's world-leading scientific work in insect ecology. He was a driving force behind the establishment of the Max Planck Center next Generation Insect Chemical Ecology - the first Max Planck Center in the Nordic countries. The Center focuses on insect behavior in the context of climate change and pollution, and trains the next generation of chemical ecologists.
