We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming event, "Empowering Women in Science", scheduled for Friday, September 6th, 2024. The event will be held at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology (Hans-Knöll-Straße 8, 07745 Jena).

The aim of this event is to foster connections, share experiences, and promote opportunities for female scientists from surrounding research institutes, universities, and start-ups. We encourage participation from individuals of all research fields, genders, nationalities, career stages, and aspirations. Participation is free of charge!

Programme

  • Talks by successful female scientists and entrepreneurs, sharing their academic journeys, highlighting how they have overcome challenges to become influential leaders, and discussing their efforts to create opportunities and empower fellow female scientists.
  • Workshops on funding opportunities specifically for women in research and AI use to reduce gender differences.
  • Round table discussions for exchanging perspectives on topics such as the glass ceiling, strategies to increase female representation, and balancing family and career.
  • Networking opportunities through innovative activities such as pairing attendees during coffee breaks and BBQ lunch to maximize interactions among females at different career stages.
